Takahe Magazine Open Call for Submissions
Founded in 1989, takahē magazine exists to develop and promote art and literature that represents the diverse voices of Aotearoa New Zealand within the global context, publishing innovative short fiction, poetry, art, and critique by emerging and established practitioners. Many of Aotearoa’s brightest literary talents made their first appearance within their pages, and they remain committed to publishing the best work from new creatives alongside that of established writers and artists.
Takahē is putting out an open call for general submissions of poetry, fiction, comics and essay pitches. Submissions to this open call are totally free to make. Accepted submissions will be published in an issue of the Takahe Magazine, and writers will be paid up to NZ$300.
